Famous foods from india, in the whole northern region of India ( The signature Kashmiri ), many served in some restaurants and hotels. the taste is very distinctive, with a strong aroma of spices and delicious dishes, marinated of mutton with cooked along and mixed spices. The food is usually served with biryani, saffron rice or plain naan bread.


Ingredients :


  • Mutton cubes – 600 gr
  • Onion Chops roughly – 200 gr
  • Shallot – 75 gr
  • Fresh Tomato – 120 gr
  • Yoghurt – 50 gr
  • Blend Fried cashewnuts – 100 gr
  • Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • Paprica powder – 0.25 tsp
  • Cardamon – 5 each
  • Cinnamon stick – 20 gr
  • Clove – 6 each
  • Bay leaves – 2
  • Mace – 0.25 tsp
  • Fresh Coriander – 2 stalk
  • Water – 30 ml
Garnish :
  • Fried whole cashewnuts
  • Shreded hard boilled egg
  • Fresh coriander leaf
  • Prune / Raisin

Procedure :


  • Soute Shallot and then onion in a medium heat
  • add herbs ( yellow color )
  • stir till golden brown
  • add mutton and stir in a high heat about 6 minutes
  • Reduce the heat and seasoning with all spices then stir
  • add cashewnuts blend (Paste) and water
  • Bring to a simmer until Mutton is tender
  • add yoghurt when the mutton is cooked
  • Remove mutton from the heat
  • Put mutton on the plate and garnish
  • Ready to serve
